New Book Announcement - Sons of the Carrispont

Hey all, it’s been a while! But, with my return I bring some exciting news. It is my absolute pleasure to announce my next book,

Sons of the Carrispont

“Power corrupts, and there are few with more power than the heirs to the Carrispont.

Junis and Castilla are born into power, heirs to the red tower of the house Regulus.

When the siblings are sent to prove themselves, they begin to uncover the truth behind their family’s legacy, and the skeletons in their father’s closet.

Split apart by forces beyond their control, the two must fight to hold onto their humanity in a world that’s trying to twist them into tools of destruction and war.

As rebellion brews and ancient ghosts stir beneath the tower’s foundations, the Carrispont prepares for war, and the Regulus siblings must choose between breaking the cycle that built their house, or becoming its next victims.”

Sons of the Carrispont is an exploration of family, legacy, power, birthright, and how far we’re willing to go for the greater good. It will, of course, be set within the world that I created for The Whispering Depths, and will explore the world of the aristocracy of the Empire, especially in northern Fjorung and eastern Archos. In the previous book we got a real look at the world from the perspective of a slave, and later pirate (poor Arno), and now we’re going to explore what this world looks like from the top. Political machinations, schemers, liars, and unchecked power. How do these forces play with one another? How do they influence the lives of the people?

You’ll have to wait and see.

It’s been in development for just over six months now, so it has quite a ways to go before it’s ready for you to read. I’m hoping for a 2027 release, though I wouldn’t hold my breath. In the meantime, there may be a fewer posts from me going forward as I focus on writing the book, but I promise I’ll pop in every now and then and give you an update or a short story.

In the meantime, you can find plenty more short stories here, and our previous books here. I’m so grateful to you all for allowing me to pursue this dream, and if you want to help the best way to do that is by reading and subscribing.

I hope you’re as excited about this new book as I am, and, as always, thanks for reading!
