The Whispering Depths releases today!

Hi all!

Just a quick announcement today, but we are overexcited to tell you all that The Whispering Depths is officially out! It’s released, right now, available for purchase, waiting for you over on Amazon!

This is such a momentous occasion, and I’m so glad I can finally share it with all of you. I’d like to thank everyone who’s offered aid over the course of writing this novel, as well as every single one of you, reading this. Your support is the only thing that allows me to pursue this dream of mine, and I really can’t thank you enough. Even by reading this, you’ve helped me along my way, in one form or another.

This has been a long time in the making. I first began writing this story back in 2017. Back then I imagined it would follow a young boy, the son of a lord, who was forced from his home and had to turn to piracy for survival, and to pursue vengeance.

It’s evolved a lot over the eight-ish years I’ve been writing it.

That young boy became Arno, a slave under the brutal control of the Masters of Oenares. He grew older and more mature, from twelve to seventeen, to around twenty in the final story. The circumstances around his journey have changed drastically, as well as the crew and the friends that surround him on his journey.

But, ultimately, at its core, the heart of my story is the same. It’s the personal story of a boy, lost and alone in a cruel world of pirates and monsters, when all he wants is to have his loved ones back.

That core has remained, in every form this story has taken over the years.

Now, a natural question that arises from the release of this book is: what’s next?

Well, of course, we do have The Road to Ithaca coming out soon as well! This is only a novella, not a fully-fledged novel, but I had a lot of fun writing it, and I hope you’ll have just as much fun reading it. So, keep an eye out for that one, set to release in early July.

But, beyond that?

Well, of course I have The Whispering Depths to manage. Being an artist is a dying way of life these days, so I’ll have to contribute quite a bit of time, effort, and money to advertise, promote, and otherwise manage the books I’ve already published.

But, have no fear, another story is already swirling about in my head, waiting to be put onto paper. Several, in fact.

I think I’ll explore other facets of this world I’ve created for a while, but I’m sure one day I’ll find my way back to The Whispering Depths and the crew of the Kraken’s Breath, and their fates after the events of this story.

But, that’s to come.
